On The Home Front

MEDICO continues to forge ahead with our efforts in Central America. Thus far in 2007 we've had the opportunity to impact lives in Honduras and Nicaragua, providing these precious friends with much needed care of medical, dental, and optometric as well as health education. Truly the effects of this care can be measured in the individual lives that have found themselves on a new path toward promising good health.

So what lies ahead for MEDICO? Our work continues as long as the needs are evident. Through our field teams serving in these impoverished areas of Central America opportunity is made apparent. Opportunities for a healthy, brighter future. MEDICO additionally provides hope by way of school supplies initiatives designed to empower children with the tools necessary to gain an education. Other efforts of MEDICO include water projects, educational scholarship support, and Adopt-A-Village initiatives. At the MEDICO headquarters volunteers assist in field team prep through packing medicines and supplies for shipment into the worksites we serve. MEDICO is constantly looking for funders willing to share in this vision of mission, funders with a global perspective embracing the needs of these precious neighbors to our south.

The success of our mission depends on our response. Humanitarian service is not exclusive to any person or group ~ it's a responsibility of all humans, caring for one another as we ourselves have been cared for.
