MEDICO is hosting a Warehouse Night this coming Thursday, March 22nd from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at our warehouse located here in Georgetown and we need your help! MEDICO sends 6 to 8 field teams into Central America each year, teams of medical personnel and lay persons all volunteering a week of their time to benefit indigenous people groups who have little to no access to health care. Each of these teams carries with them crates of meds and supplies to enable their effort – all pre-packaged here at our warehouse and prepared for shipment. Our Warehouse Nights are an integral part of our humanitarian effort.
Each Warehouse Night is an opportunity to share in the care provided for people who will sometimes walk 4 to 6 hours for a visit with a physician from our team. The medicines they will be prescribed will help provide a window of hope for better health care where there is sometimes no health care available. These are mothers with children, youth and young adults, the elderly who have spent years in backbreaking work in the coffee fields. These are persons who live in the most rural areas of Central America. Your participation brings hope.

MEDICO is now making available a special DVD of our mission effort. This tool is a great method for sharing our commitment of care with others, hopefully inspiring a desire to share in this journey of hope. If you are making a presentation on your involvment with your humanitarian care organization serving in Central America, this tool will be of great service.
